His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam proceeded to the Karmelita Monastery for the Working Luncheon hosted by His Excellency Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary. The Leaders exchanged views on regional and international issues, including developments in ASEAN, ASEAN–EU relations, Hungary's engagement in Southeast Asia, developments in Europe and the Middle East, and cooperation in addressing climate change and promoting peace, stability and sustainable growth. In the titah, His Majesty expressed Brunei Darussalam's readiness to work closely with Hungary in strengthening cooperation in supporting regional stability and inter-regional relations.
His Majesty also extended an invitation to His Excellency Viktor Orbán to pay an Official Visit to Brunei Darussalam at a time to be mutually agreed upon.
His Majesty was introduced to the Hungarian delegation, while His Excellency was introduced to the members of the Brunei Darussalam delegation. The luncheon was enlivened by a performance of traditional Hungarian music.
Before departing the Karmelita Monastery, His Majesty was bade farewell by His Excellency the Prime Minister of Hungary
